Hello everybody!
Tonight marks an important milestone for the team, and more specifically, the robot.
We've got all the wheels in place and our little robot is driving all over the commons.
More progress updates to come. :)

The team's decided on where we will compete this year! FIRST has finally placed a regional near Spokane, in Cheney, Washington. The competition will be held at the campus of Eastern Washington University.
We chose the EWU regional because cost-wise it would be far more affordable than traveling all the way to Seattle or Portland. If all goes well this would also make paying for a trip to nationals a lot more feasible because less money would be spent on the trip for regionals. However, this will mean that everybody would need to be at the school early in the morning each day of travel! This competition is also the last in the season and takes place almost right before nationals. While this will give us no time between the two to prepare if we were to attend nationals, this will increase our preparation time for the trip between the end of the build season where our robot will need to be bagged up and the actual event.
In other news, there is a parent meeting this week at school at 7 immediately following the team meeting. Please attend if possible.
We can still make this year the best yet! |

Good news, everyone! Brandon has the website's calendar up and running. If you haven't already noticed, it can be found next to the newsfeed, on the right side of the webpage.
All upcoming important events and reminders about meetings should appear there as well as deadlines for our projects and the season. Check back in regularly for updates.
Stay cheerful! This year's going to be a good one. |
